iPad is on sale here – LG can't keep up with display demand: LG Display can't keep up with the demand for iPad screens, chief Kwon Young-soo said on Thursday. He warned that Apple was ordering "more and more" of the tablet's LCDs to match demand but that LG can't keep up. The demand is such that LG may have to squeeze out others and won't be completely free to meet demand until spring of next year.
But the iPad went on sale in NZ, at the major centres anyway, and while people queued at MagnumMac, there was no one at Dick Smith, which had piles of new iPads by the front door. They weren't allowed to say they had them, a staff member told me ...

iPhone vs Android – iPhone wins in satisfaction by miles: 77% of iPhone owners say they'll buy another iPhone,. 20% of Android customers who say they'll buy another Android phone. And that's despite AT&T in the US being the only iPhone carrier to date.
AT&T activated 400,000 to 500,000 3G iPads in the US in two months.

Downloadable Bumper cases: Apple today released the iPhone 4 free case program as a downloadable app. In the US, they show a 3-5 week ship time.

White iPhone 4s delayed again: Apple has been forced to admit that white models of the iPhone 4 (pic) won't ship until later this year, citing manufacturing problems.
In a statement, Apple said "White models of Apple’s new iPhone 4 have proven more challenging to manufacture than expected, and as a result they will not be available until the second half of July. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected."
I honestly don't get this. There's a plastic case. It's white of black. Simple.
Well, apparently not.
